Training Philosophy
The Four Pillars
Every fitness goal can be achieved through some combination of strength training, conditioning, mobility training, and nutrition. These are what I call the Four Pillars of Fitness. Your training program must provide stimuli that cause your desired adaptations, and your nutrition program must fuel both the adaptations and the training itself. Both programs then need to be specified to the individual performing them, suiting not only their goals but their experience, fitness level, and overall lifestyle.
My philosophy boils down to finding the “sweet spot” of programming across these Four Pillars and the programming variables relevant to them. Adjusting things such as exercise choice, training frequency, sets, reps, weight, rest, macronutrients, supplementation, and more all have an affect on the results of your program and your ability to execute it consistently. Finding the right variables for where you are, right now, and progressing them intelligently over time is the most sure-fire way to achieve your goals and go beyond them.
All my services rely on this understanding. You need a program that’s right for you, whether I coach you through it, personalize it for you, or you write it yourself after our consultation.

Having a goal without a plan is like having a destination without a route to get there.
